GG's Corner: Kitchen Gadgets & Appliance Recommendations

 

Kitchen gadgets are always helpful and some look as if they are such but just end up taking up a space in the drawer never to be seen or used again. There is so many gadgets out there so I thought it would be neat to start off my first blog contribution here, at RR,  with a recommendation list that we can all share and contribute too when it comes to helpful gadgets around the kitchen when it comes to cooking.

For me, I love my Foodie Ninja. It has been so helpful with keeping the heat out of the kitchen this summer and it uses less energy then the stove, to boot! It steams, air fries, broils, roasts and pressure cooks so it basically has its own space on the counter and is used often. As for smaller gadgets, I would be lost without my various microplane zester/graters. From lemons to finishing a dish with parmesan, I couldn't live without. My mom also has an old school ricer. Its heavy and weighs a ton but it results in the best grating when it comes to potatoes for mash or making gnocci. I have NEVER found anything compared or constructed like such and she has had hers before GG was born!

Not quite gadgets but on theme is my chef's knife and wood boards. I would be lost without both. So please share YOUR FAVORITE ITEMS IN THE KITCHEN AND WHY DO YOU LOVE THEM. ALSO, WHAT KITCHEN GADGETS HAVE YOU PURCHASED IN THE PAST THAT WERE A WASTE OF MONEY?
